Interviews with the protagonists of the sprint race

Here are the comments collected by the protagonists of the sprint race, held on the track overlooking Ponte di Legno:
Arno Lietha: «It's never easy to win. I was able to set my pace from the first U-turns, and even on the steps I kept my lead with a good lead. I'm happy with this second victory in two races, it means that I worked well in my preparation and gear change technique. I really liked the type of track that the organizers proposed. Great race».
Celia Perillat-Pessey: «I am very happy for the first victory in the World Cup. I still don't believe it. I did an excellent test on the U-turns and on the bleachers, staying close to Giulia, who, however, was particularly fast in the final stages of the last set-up change. I was a little lucky for Murada's fall, I'm sorry for her. But for me it is a historic day».
Giulia Murada: «I can't understand what happened. At the end of the descent, a few meters from the finish line, I found myself lying on the ground. I am very disappointed and speechless. I wanted to win the first World Cup race in the women's overall, and above all because it was the home race. Pity. I was leading by a good margin. I had managed the whole race well, I was quick at the changes and on the uphill section I gave it my all. Maybe I was too fast or maybe the snow on the corner was too wet. I have to process this result. Now the burn is too hot».
Nicolò Ernesto Canclini: «A podium has arrived torn with the teeth. I could have finished second if I hadn't made a mistake at the last set-up change, but I could also have finished fourth, because Anselmet was going really fast. It was a very close race, with Arnold being incredible in the last set-up change. He overtook both me and Thibault. However, I am very satisfied with the result in the home race. I have to congratulate you on the excellent track proposed by the organizers».
