At the end of the individual competition we collected the comments of the protagonists. Here's what they told us.

Rèmi Bonnet: «I had good sensations in training, but I was waiting for the first confrontation with the opponents. I can only be happy with the result, which is linked to last year's splendid season finale. With Davide we have created an exciting challenge. We both gave it our all. Then in the last skin change I managed to be faster and detach him, maintaining the gap until the finish line. Great day."
Davide Magnini: «I believed in it until the end, also because there were fans who cheered me on all the way, giving me great strength. Unfortunately I made a few too many mistakes in the changes, especially in the last two, giving Rémi an advantage. It was a very cold day and the skins were not easy to manage. Bonnet was in great shape and even on the uphill sections he had great pace. Congrats to him for the win. I'm glad to be back to the standards of two years ago. A second place in the first World Cup race is a great start. And congratulations to the organizers for the route».
Michele Boscacci: «I had a terrible effort today. The legs didn't go as well as on other occasions, but the races are also for this, not all days are the same. Overall, however, I am happy with the sensations I had, especially in view of the future».
Axelle Gachet Mollaret: «This morning I couldn't wait to be at the start of the first individual race of the World Cup, a specialty that I love the most. I had fun and managed the race against my rivals after gaining a margin in the first stretch. The course was very nervous with many set-up changes, which I appreciate less, but winning always gives great satisfaction and morale».
Giulia Murada: «After the disappointment of the sprint I tried to reset my negative thoughts and set off with a great desire to redeem myself. Being able to hit second place pays me off a lot and brings a smile back to my balance of the weekend. I enjoyed the race a lot, because I love the set-up changes where I always manage to gain a few seconds on my rivals. I suffered a bit from the long climb, but I managed to manage the advantage over my rivals, with some fear of crashing downhill given what happened on Friday evening. Competing in this context is super».
Alba De Silvestro: «I am excited and moved. Being able to get on the podium after a difficult year due to my physical problems has an immense meaning for me. I arrived exhausted, I never gave up, but I wanted this result at all costs and it has arrived».
Giulia Compagnoni: «Compared to last year, I halved my placement. I didn't expect to get a good start in the first race of the season. Surely the fact of tackling a route with short uphills and downhills, with many changes was an advantage for me».
Lisa Moreschini: «With the new regulation according to which we under 23 also compete together with expert athletes, it is not easy in terms of morale, but it is also an incentive to train more and more and improve. The front ones are really strong. Overall, I am satisfied with my performance. I still have the satisfaction of being the second espoir of the day, the first Italian».
